WHAT I WISH I KNEW BEFORE
STARTING MY CAREER IN INFOSEC
By Jo Zhou
One-part hindsight, three parts vehement tirade, and a dash of advice. Jo stands on a soapbox for 15min to discuss some unexpected learnings that she’s discovered in her first two years in industry. The rave will encompass: weaponizing impostor syndrome, dealing with toxicity, and achieving your goals as a productive human being.
About the Speaker
Jo is an Offensive Security Consultant in her 2nd year of breaking/advising on how to fix security. When not penetration testing, she's (somehow) in your server room. Her proudest moments include coming 2nd in last year's SECTF at DEFCon and every time a houseplant grows a new leaf.
