0xCC is a free training conference for all women in or interested in infosec/cyber security.
We hate that we need to specify in 2020 but just to be clear, we define a woman as anyone who identifies partially or wholly as female, anything else isn't our business!
Why free? Because we wholeheartedly believe that a person's financial situation shouldn't be a barrier to a passion for, or a career in, cyber security.
Like last year, we will have a travel grant program to help those that may not be in a position afford to travel.
In 2019, 0xCC held its inaugural event where we had 130 women sign up for one of four two-day courses on varying topics covering everything from Web Application Penetration Testing, Malware Analysis and Reverse Engineering, Python Scripting and Automation as well as Application Security.
We were also able to provide six travel grants to students across Australia as well as host a panel discussing the experiences of industry leaders and the contemporary issues that are still pervasive in our industry.
0xCC 2020 has more training courses including Exploiting Network Devices and Protocols, Introduction to Binary exploitation, Security for Software Developers, Cloud Network Security and Malware Analysis and Reverse Engineering. We will also have a series of lightning talks covering a whole range of topics. Due to COVID-19, we will be going virtual for 2020 but we think it will be just as awesome - get ready to receive a delegate care package!
Our motivation is to help create an environment where people of all identities can concentrate on doing what they love without worrying about prejudices.
Stay tuned, subscribe to our mailing list and get excited for 0xCC 2020!
